The LABSOLUTE® extraction thimbles are made of 100 % cellulose. They have a high mechanical stability and are free from binders. The extraction thimbles have a wall thickness of about 1 mm and a pore size of approximately 5 µm. They are perfect for all kind of Soxhlet extractions as well as for the separation of liquid and solid particles out of air and gases.

Neutral and fat free. With excellent retention capacity. Ash content <0.1 %.

Extraction and clean-up mixtures for sample preparation in the pesticide analysis of vegetable foodstuffs according to EN 15662 using GC/MS or LC/MS after acetonitrile extraction and purification using the dispersive SPE-QuEChERS method.

The samples are first extracted with Mix A. Purification is done with one of the following mixtures:

• Mix B (Clean-up mixture for fruits and vegetables with low fat content, e.g. apples, strawberries)
• Mix C (Clean-up mixture for fruits and vegetables with high fat content, containing oil/wax, e.g. avocados)
• Mix D (Clean-up mixture for moderately chlorophyll/carotenoid-containing fruits and vegetables, e.g. carrots, salad)
• Mix E (Clean-up mixture for fruits and vegetables with high chlorophyll/carotenoid content, e.g. sweet peppers, spinach)

If required, add ceramic homogenising beads for better mixing.

• Mix A contains a bag with the required amount of mixture and a 50 ml empty tube
• Mix B, C, D and E are pre-weighed into a 15 ml tube

Workstation model SMA-ARB

The behrotest^® workstation model SMA-ARB is a basic system for simultaneous aqua regia digestion of either 6 or 12 samples for heavy metals analysis.

System components:

• Precision 6 or 12 sample SMA heating block for round-bottom sample vessels of Ø 41.8 mm, temperature range 20 to 300 °C.
• External ET 2 controller, operating range 20 to 399°C. Time settings from 10 to 120 min. and continuous operation.
• 6 or 12 SR 2 250 ml round-bottom sample vessels with standard taper mouth and PVDF collar.
• 6 or 12 RFK 1 Allihn reflux condensers.
• 6 or 12 AS 1 absorption vessels.

The behrotest^® SMA-ARM workstations are provided with a programmable microprocessor-controlled time/temp. controller as well as a fume manifold for drawing off the acid vapors. This results in greater convenience and functionality in routine laboratory operations.
