Your data is protected as part of the legal provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the German Digital Services Act (DSA) and other regulations governing data privacy.

Below we inform you which data is collected during your visit to our website and how we use it. Remember that there are always security breaches when transmitting data over the web (e.g. communication by email). It is impossible to achieve complete protection from unauthorised access by third parties.

Controller

The controller within the meaning of the data protection laws is Th. Geyer GmbH & Co. KG and Th. Geyer Ingredients GmbH & Co. KG. If you have any questions about data protection, or you wish to exert your rights or claims to your personal data, please contact our data protection officer Mr Matthias Krohe by sending an email to datenschutz@thgeyer.de.

Data processing

This data protection notice contains information about data processing on our web pages and about the corresponding digital processes.

The subject of data protection is personal data. According to art. 4 (1) GDPR, this is all information relating to identified or identifiable natural persons. This includes, for example, information such as your name, mailing address, e-mail address or telephone number, but may also include usage data such as your IP address. Every access to our homepage and every retrieval of a file stored on the homepage is logged in server log files. The storage is for internal system-related and statistical purposes. The following are logged:

  • Name of the retrieved file
  • Date and time of retrieval
  • Transferred amount of data
  • Notification of successful retrieval
  • Web browser
  • Requesting domain
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used
  • Search words

Additional personal data will only be processed if you provide this information voluntarily, for example in the context of an inquiry. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

If our digital offers offer the possibility to optionally enter personal data, we ask you to check for yourself which data you would like to disclose to us. The mandatory fields marked as such are required to process your inquiry or order. Any additional data collected is voluntary and is used to optimize our service offering and, if necessary, for statistical purposes.

  2. What categories of personal data do we process?
We process data related to your application. This may be general data about you (such as your name, address and contact details), information about your professional qualifications and school education or information about further professional training or other information that you provide to us in connection with your application. Should we wish to retain your application documents for longer, we will obtain your express written consent to do so. With your consent, we will store your application documents for up to two years.

  5. What rights do you have?
    1. Information

We have no influence over these processing activities.

Our website uses Matomo, a web analytics service. Matomo uses so-called "cookies", which are text files that are placed on your computer to help the website analyse how users use the site.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your shortened IP address) will be stored on the server of the service provider in Germany. Your IP address is immediately anonymised during this process, so that you as a user remain anonymous to us. Google Ads Conversion Tracking

Our website uses Google conversion tracking. If you have reached our website via an ad placed by Google, Google Ads will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked across AdWords customers' websites. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking, you can reject the setting of a cookie required for this - for example, by means of a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies or by setting your browser in such a way that cookies from the domain "googleleadservices.com" are blocked.

Please note that you may not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not want any measurement data to be recorded. If you have deleted all your cookies in the browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.
