Hazar­dous materials ware­house in Höxter-Stahle

In Höxter-Stahle, at the site of our second business unit Ingredients, the new, state-of-the-art hazardous materials warehouse is now in operation This means that, together with the warehouse for consumables and equipment, we now have a state-of-the-art laboratory logistics centre The hazardous materials warehouse expands our capacities and offers space for up to 690 tonnes of hazardous materials This enables us to offer our customers an even wider range of products and greater security of supply

But the new hazardous materials warehouse also impresses with its safety concept for people and the environment The entire building is built on a tank made of chemical-resistant concrete This means that nothing can escape into the environment The gas warning system detects leaks at an early stage The automatic ventilation system prevents hazardous atmospheres Any fires are extinguished immediately by the CO2 gas extinguishing system

The hazardous materials warehouse also sets standards in terms of sustainability It was built to the KfW55 standard This means that it only requires 55% of the primary energy of a comparable reference building in accordance with the German Building Energy Act (GEG) The sustainable measures range from energy-saving low-temperature underfloor heating to bioenergy heating and LED lighting.
