Filtration apparatus

The LABSOLUTE® filter crucibles are made of borosilicate glass 3.3 and are therefore extremely resistant against high temperatures and chemicals. The crucibles are autoclavable and can be perfectly used for applications in qualitative analysis and preparative chemistry. The sintered glass filter disc has a porosity of 4 which equals a pore size of 5 -15 µm.

The LABSOLUTE® Erlenmeyer shaped filter flasks with glass olive are made of high-quality borosilicate glass 3.3 and comply with ISO 6556 and DIN 12476. Together with the LABSOLUTE® Buchner funnels and suitable rubber gaskets, they form a perfect unit for almost all kinds of filtration applications in chemical laboratories. All LABSOLUTE® filter flasks are autoclavable and, because of their high wall thickness, also vacuum-proof.

We recommend a vacuum tube with an inner diamater of 8 mm to connect the filter flasks to a vacuum pump.

Due to the glass olive, the flasks do not comply with the requirements of the German product safety law (ProdSG).

The LABSOLUTE® Buchner funnels are made of high-quality porcelain and comply with DIN 12905. They are glazed on the inside and outside and are characterized by an excellent resistance to lyes and acids with the exception of hydrofluoric acid.

Accessories Accessoires for LLG-Filtering apparatus

LLG-Microbiological Monitors and Analytical funnels provide a ready-to-use solution for the filtration of liquid samples using a manifold. No need for flaming or sterilization, reduces the testing time up to 70%. These 100ml units are suited for monitoring contaminants in all types of samples, from raw materials to finished products. In the case of Microbiological Monitors the nitrocellulose membrane is fixed to the unit. The filtration unit easily converts to a Petri dish, which can be labeled and incubated for further analysis. When using analytical funnels the nitrocellulose membrane can be removed and transferred to a Petri dish for further analysis. Adapter for use with a manifold is included.

For attaching flexible vacuum tubing to filter flasks. Consists of straight PP tubing connection, PP tubulature made of silicone (VMQ) rubber seal. PP components can withstand temperatures up to 140°C for short periods without mechanical load.

Compact Nalgene™ filter units with PES membrane are ideally suited for quick filtration of samples between 50 to 100 ml.

Alternative Bottle Top Filters Nalgene™ Rapid-Flow™, SFCA Membrane, sterile

Filters securely screw onto glass media bottles with 33 mm or 45 mm neck sizes. Allows direct filtration of liquid into sterile glass media bottles.
Tight and secure thread connection for vacuum filtration, vacuum tubing to be connected onto tubing adapter of side-arm. Graduated. Certificate of quality included in each full case. Lot number, catalogue number, membrane type, pore size and expiration date are printed on filter units for easy identification and lot traceability.

Graduated reusable filtration unit bodies with upper manifolds and lower receivers made of unbreakable polysulphone (PSU). Nominal filtration surface 11cm². With membrane support plate. Without membrane. For filter membrane from 47mm to 50mm.

Ready-to-use pressure filtration capsules for sterile filtration of media and aqueous solutions with volumes of up to 20 litres (Sartobran 150), or 40 litres (Sartobran 300). The units consist of a polypropylene housing containing a double-layer cellulose acetate membrane (0.2 µm and 0.45 µm). The membranes, which have an area of 150 cm² or 300 cm², have extremely low protein adsorption levels. Autoclavable at up to 134°C. Automatically air vented via an integral PTFE membrane. Sterile and individually packed. With 6 to 12 mm flexible tubing connections (SO) or 1/2 inch tri-clamp (TC).

With glass rim. For use in dismountable filter holders. Patented design. Filter discs must always be screwed in between two FKM rubber seals. Without top manifold, PP outlet funnel or seals.

Alternative Slotted sieve disc (perforated plate) DURAN®

The DURAN^® filtering apparatus is made of high-quality borosilicate glass. Aside from glass, the medium only comes into chemical contact with PTFE. This means that the filtering apparatus can be used to filter virtually any chemical. Thanks to the PTFE disc holder, fritted glass discs of different porosities can be used in addition to the slit-sieve disc. This creates a wide application scope for filtration using filter paper, membrane filters (47mm) or simply using glass filters. Different porosities are available between 10µm and 160µm, which makes it possible to perform coarse and fine filtration in addition to analytical filtration. Furthermore, the filtering apparatus is suitable for the filtration of HPLC media, testing for bacterial contamination, residue analysis and the filtration of other media.
