For cell culture, Greiner Bio-One offers standard and filter cap cell culture flasks with growth areas of four different sizes. Suspension culture flasks complete the range in another sizes.They are made of high-grade polystyrene. The special design of our cell culture flasks makes it possible to efficiently reach the cell lawn with a cell scraper, whilst still providing optimal access with a pipette. The special neck
design reduces the risk of wetting the inside of the cap with medium, thus providing additional protection against contamination. The stacking rim on the top of the flasks ensures firm standing and easy stackability in the incubator.

Bottles and closures are radiation-sterilised and pyrogen-free to eliminate costly washing, depyrogenation and autoclaving steps. Heatshrink band around closure and neck provides tamper-evident seal. Packed in shrink-wrapped trays. 2L size has molded-in handgrips and a 53-mm (53B) white closure. Bottles are sterile to 10-6 SAL, non-pyrogenic, non-cytotoxic and comply with USP Class VI guidelines. Cap from PP, membrane made of PTFE with 0.2 µm pore size. Ideal for autoclaving processes because the membrane permits pressure equalisation and tight sealing, reducing the risk of contamination. Temperature resistant up to 140°C. Typical applications: storage or transport of gas generating media, autoclaving of media.

Materials used PP and PTFE. Flexible modular system. Five different hose diameters (3.2 mm, 6.0 mm, 8.0 mm, 10.0 mm and 12.0 mm) can be connected. Sterile pressure equalisation is possible through use of membrane filter. Unused ports can be provided with a blind cap. Typical applications: safe transfer of liquid media within a closed and sterile system (evaporation is reduced).
