The Steritest™ NEO device for liquids in ampoules or collapsing bags contains a needle for easy access to ampopules and a separate vent needle. A special needle adapter facilitates access to collapsing bags. The blue color coding on the ground indicates that the membrane is made of cellulose mischester. The red coding indicates a PVDF membrane. This membrane provides an optimal filtration flow rate for standard products.

To ensure flexibility and capability, the Swinny filter holder offers the possibility to choose the membrane type and diameter to best suit personal applications. If sterile filtration is required, this is no problem. Autoclave the filter holder with the membrane in situ.

Since the drain hose is placed directly in the drain, you do not need an additional container if you have connected your pump to a filtration bar or apparatus. The ultrafiltration unit is designed for volumes from 15 ml … 100 µl. The vertical twin membranes enable fast and high sample concentration and almost complete sample recovery. The pipette-friendly dead-stop reservoir eliminates the risk of centrifuging the concentrate to dryness and allows easy recovery of the highly concentrated sample. Samples up to 15 ml can be processed in swing-out rotors or 11 ml in fixed-angle rotors, which are suitable for 50 ml centrifuge tubes with a conical bottom.

The ultrafiltration unit is designed for volumes from 4 ml to 40 µl. Its vertical twin membranes enable fast and high sample concentration and almost complete sample recovery. The integrated dead-stop reservoir prevents the concentrate from being centrifuged until dry. Thanks to the pipette-friendly access, the highly concentrated sample can be easily recovered.

The WHEATON^® filtering apparatus are available with fritted glass support, with stainless steel support or with PTFE support. The glass components are manufactured from WHEATON^® low extractable borosilicate glass 3.3. that conforms to ASTM E 438 Type I, Class A requirements. The 25 mm filtering apparatus are designed to handle small volumes of liquids, the 47 mm filtering apparatus are suitable for volumes up to 1000 ml. The 90 mm filtering apparatus are recommended for large sample volumes, liquids with a heavy particulate load and viscous liquids when a high flow rate is required.

Filtration assemblies with stopper connections:

• Designed for analysis of particulate or microbiological contamination

Filtration assembly with standard taper 40/35 joint connection:
