The LABSOLUTE® Cell Freeze freezing aid is ideally suited for the gentle and uniform freezing of various cell types, such as stem cells, primary cells, and different cell lines. It ensures a controlled cooling rate of approximately -1 °C per minute, supporting a high cell survival rate during the freezing process.
The application is straightforward and requires no additives such as isopropanol. The freezing aid is simply placed in an ultra-low temperature freezer. Cryovials are inserted into the device and remain there for about 3 hours at -80 °C before the samples can be transferred to a liquid nitrogen tank.
The slots have a diameter of 14.5 mm and a total height of 54 mm, consisting of 34 mm in the base and 20 mm in the lid. This makes them compatible with most cryovials in the volume range of 1 to 2 ml.
