El filtro Whatman Mini-UniPrep™ proporciona un medio rápido y fácil de eliminar las partículas de las muestras de HPLC. En comparación con otros métodos, el tiempo necesario para la preparación de la muestra se reduce a un tercio. Mini-Uni-Prep™ es una unidad de filtro lista para usar que consiste en una cámara de 0,4 ml y un émbolo. El émbolo contiene una membrana de filtración en un extremo y un tapón con septum en el otro. El émbolo se presiona a través de la muestra en la cámara. La presión generada obliga al filtrado a entrar en el depósito del émbolo, con el aire escapando a través del orificio de ventilación hasta que el mecanismo de cierre se engancha para formar un sello hermético. La unidad puede entonces colocarse en cualquier automuestreador y la muestra puede ser analizada.
