SETUP

The syringe filters have either acrylic or PP housing. Both housing versions have Luer connections, and the membrane is secured in the housing so that the sample fluid cannot flow around the membrane.

LABSOLUTE® syringe filters with a filter membrane diameter of 25 mm are ideal for the preparation of samples with a volume from 1.5 ml to 100 ml. The effective filtration area is 4.6 cm². This, in combination with the stable housing pressure resistant to 5 bar made from polypropylene (transparent) or acrylic (pore size 0.22 µm blue or pore size 0.45 µm yellow), ensures rapid filtration. The non-sterile filters are packed in quantities of 500 in polypropylene pouches, while sterile filters are packaged individually in blisters in quantities of 50 per box.

The membrane is fixed in the housing in such a way that a by-passing of the sample liquid is impossible. The colour-coding enables easy identification of the filter’s membrane type. Furthermore membrane type and pore size are printed onto the PE bag, in which the filters are tamper-proof evidently packed with 100 pieces each. An additional blue reclosable PP box offers further protection for the filters during transportation. Due to their Luer Lock-Inlet (female) an easy and safe installation of the filter on the syringe is guaranteed. The outlet is designed as Luer Slip (male). Thorough quality controls before and after the manufacturing process guarantee a constantly high quality of the membrane material as well as of the complete filter unit.

A hydrophobic membrane. Ideal for filtration of non-polar liquids and gases. It is very resistant to various solvents as well as acids and bases. By flushing with alcohol, followed by water, the original hydrophobic membrane can be made more hydrophilic.

Hydrophilic membrane for polar as well as non-polar solvents. The HPLC filter, especially suited for mixtures of water and organic solvents; for TOC/DOC determination; not cytotoxic, does not inhibit the growth of microorganisms and higher cells. Polyester filter with integrated glass fibre prefilter (GF/PET): recommended for solutions with a high load of particulate matter or for highly viscous solutions.

The Minisart^® High Flow is a syringe filter for rapid volume sterilisation with maximum user convenience. Ready-to-use units, which offer flow rates at low inlet pressures, allow for a correspondingly rapid sterile filtration.

The only difference between the Sartorius Minisart^® NML Plus (Glass-fibre / Cellulose acetate) and the standard Minisart^® NML is an additional glass fibre pre-filter which enables a greater filtration volume for highly particle-laden liquids. Sartorius Minisart^®-GF (Glass-fibre, 0.7 µm² particle retention) contains a single, binding agent-free, glass fibre pre-filter for ultrafiltration. With a support achievement of 99 % for 40 µm spherical particles.

The Anopore^® inorganic membrane consists of high-purity aluminium oxide and can be used for a wide range of applications. Mini-cartridge filters are inserted into a stainless steel housing. The bayonet closure provides a secure seal against back-pressure surges. This is a rather hydrophilic membrane; it is recommended for filtration of aqueous and organic/aqueous medium polar liquids.
Excellent chemical compatibility with esters, bases and alcohols.
