Cultivation

These cell culture flasks with treated surfaces for the cultivation of adherent cells are available with different growth areas from 12.5 to 300 cm². Available with vented or plug-seal caps made from polyethylene. Vented caps contain a 0.22 µm hydrophobic filter to allow gas exchange and minimize risk of cross-contamination. Plug-seal caps can be used in closed systems, providing a liquid and gas sheer seal, but by simply unscrewing the cap one quarter of a turn, this cap can also be used in an open system.

With blue vented closure, the chance for cross contamination is reduced. Ideal for shaker and suspension cell culture, media preparation or storage. Made of light, crystal clear PETG. Molded-in graduations. Leak-proof HDPE closure has a hydrophobic 0.2µm PTFE membrane that allows sterile air exchange. Flasks offer a 5-year shelf life, a 10^-6 SAL, are non-pyrogenic and non-cytotoxic. Available with flat or baffled bottom. Individually packaged for easy storage and handling.

The optimised design of the scraper blade features a pivot angle of 60° that facilitates uniform contact with the growth surface, minimal mechanical strain and efficient cell harvest, even from poorly accessible surfaces. The scraper design also minimises any
accumulation of cell suspension to the blade structure. The handle length has been adapted for use.

Cell culture multiwell plates are available in the hydrophilic surface (TC surface treatment) for improved cell adhesion and hydrophobic surface for suspension cultures and hybridoma cells. Cell culture microplates from the CELLSTAR® range are specifically treated. This treatment leads to polar groups such as carboxyl and hydroxyl groups , added to the plastic surface. Compact and efficient benchtop densitometers for measuring turbidity of cell suspensions in a variety of life science applications. The densitometers are designed and factory calibrated to measure turbidity in the range of 0.3 to >7.5 McFarland units (DEN-1) 0.00 to >15.00 McFarland units (DEN-1B) with a small standard deviation.

The surface of the tubes is coated with Thermo Scientific™ Nunclon™ Δ and designed for the cultivation of adherent cell cultures. With cap made of PE.

All plates consist of an optically clear borosilicate glass bottom. The glass bottom allows transmission measurements in the wavelength range above 350 nm. The 175 μm thick glass bottom of the SensoPlate™ is equivalent to the light path of standard coverslips. A adhesive is used for the fixing glass bottom plates to enable a minimal autofluorescence.

The DURAN^® TILT Light Shield is a removable white silicone sleeve that covers 94% of the bottle surface. The sleeve blocks damaging ultraviolet light, protects the glass surface from damage, and facilitates safer handling.

The DURAN^® GL 56 Bottle Tags can be used for individual colour coding or for fixing the light shield to the bottle.
