La medición de la DBO es una importante medida de los efectos de las aguas residuales domésticas e industriales en las plantas de tratamiento de aguas residuales y los puntos de salida. El sistema de sensores BD 600 es un sistema de 6 muestras que permite mediciones precisas de DBO basadas en el principio manométrico. Los respirómetros manométricos relacionan la captación de oxígeno con el cambio de presión causado por el consumo de oxígeno, manteniendo un volumen constante. Gracias a los modernos sensores de presión integrales, no es necesario utilizar mercurio para las mediciones. Los valores de DBO se almacenan automáticamente en la memoria del sensor a intervalos regulares y pueden ser llamados en la pantalla de gran formato en cualquier momento sin necesidad de una conversión que requiera mucho tiempo mediante factores. Esto significa que las series de pruebas que terminan un domingo pueden ser evaluadas durante la semana siguiente sin ningún problema. Las series de mediciones pueden almacenarse en una memoria USB/tarjeta SD o transferirse a través de un cable USB para evaluar los datos en un ordenador. El período de medición puede ser seleccionado por el usuario entre 1 y 28 días para adaptarse a la aplicación.
