Cell based assays/kits

Non-binding surfaces from Greiner Bio-One are achieved through a stable chemical modification to covalently link functional groups with the base polystyrene polymer. Under aqueous assay conditions a hydrate layer forms, preventing dissolved biomolecules from binding to the microplate surface. As the non-binding surface is stable under common assay conditions, there is no potential for degradation or leaching and resultant assay interference.

These test kits are specially developed for testing boiler, cooling and industrial process water. They make use of both colorimetric and titrimetric techniques. Each test kit contains all the necessary chemicals and reagents in liquid
or powder form to conduct the tests. The detailed instructions contain a step-by-step explanation of the test procedure. The kits are supplied in a sturdy, compact plastic case.

96 Well Polystyrene Microplates are manufactured under DIN ISO 9001 guidelines and can be traced all the way back to production through a defined LOT number system. Furthermore they are footprint compatible with automated systems. Polystyrene is a highly clear polymer with excellent optical properties which makes it ideal for precise optical measurements. An it is suitable for work with cell cultures.

Properties:

• Are manufactured without the use of siliconbased mould release
• U-Bottom: ideally suited for agglutination tests, no sharp corners
• V-Bottom: entire sample volume must be pipetted off
• F-Bottom / Standard (ST): for precise optical measurements, microscopic applications (bottom reading)
• Are analysed for detectable DNase, RNase and human DNA

Polypropylene (PP) has low biomolecular binding characteristics, a high temperature tolerance, and is resistant to many standard laboratory chemicals, such as DMSO. CELLVIEW™ Slide consists of a transparent plastic slide and a detachable, black compartment. The compartment consists of 10 round cells, each corresponding to the size of a 96 well standard microplate. Thanks to this standard layout, CELLVIEW™ Slide is suitable for multichannel pipettes and is therefore easy and efficient to use. In addition, the round cell shape reduces meniscus effects and thus enables optimal results for investigations in cell culture and microscopy.
