Graduated flasks
Volumetric flasks provide precise results in chemistry and pharmacy. They are not scaled, but have a single ring mark that is drawn all the way round the neck to avoid reading errors.
The narrow neck results in high setting accuracy. In addition, volumetric flasks have bulbous curves in the upper area so that any gas bubbles that form can escape from the solution more easily. However, if there are gas bubbles in the solution, the volumetric flask must be swivelled slightly so that the bubbles rise to the top. In addition to volumetric pipettes and burettes, volumetric flasks are therefore the most accurate volumetric instruments in the laboratory for analysis.
Volumetric flasks, class A, with PE stopper, blue graduation
All LABSOLUTE® clear and amber volumetric flasks with accuracy class A comply with the DIN EN ISO 1042 standard. They are made of high-quality borosilicate glass 3.3 and calibrated to "In" (20 °C).
