The Thermo Scientific Barnstead Pacific RO water purification systems are modularly designed laboratory reverse osmosis system for the production of 20L to 200L pure water from tap water. Applications include routine laboratory work: lab glassware rinsing, supplying autoclaves, water baths and incubators, preparing an diluting buffers and reagents. A 30L, 60L, or 100L polyethylene reservoir is required to store and dispense the permeate water.

The LaboStar™ RO DI series produce high quality water with very low energy consumption. The use of "low energy" membranes enable a very efficient and economical operation. All LaboStar™ RO DI systems are equipped with a built-in 7 l storage tank. Pure water is collected in the tank and is recirculated by an integrated pump. LaboStar™ RO DI is equipped with a final DI cartridge. This cartridge polishes the RO water to Type II quality < 0.1 µS/cm. The unit offers two extraction ports: water can be extracted under pressure from the Point-of-use dispenser or from the outlet on the back of the unit. Optionally, a charged 0.2 µm sterile filter at the dispenser can be used to remove bacteria and endotoxins. An uncharged 0.2 µm sterile filter is also available. The ultra pure water, as produced by these Elga deionisers is almost entirely free of dissolved mineral salts, including silica, and has a neutral pH since the dissolved CO₂ has been removed. From an inorganic standpoint, ultra pure water conforms to International Pharmacopeia and laboratory grade specifications for purified water.

The B114 and MicroMeg models are wall-mounted units ideal for users who require low volumes of ultra pure water. These test kits are specially developed for testing boiler, cooling and industrial process water. They make use of both colorimetric and titrimetric techniques. Each test kit contains all the necessary chemicals and reagents in liquid
