The high-quality IPI Pathotape® coverslipping tape has a unique transparency after coverslipping and can be used in all film coverslippers:

  • Sakura Tissue-Tek® coverslipper series
  • Klinipath/SERMO coverslipper series (e.g. CM 1260)
  • MEDITE Twister® film coverslipper
  • IPI Pathoslide® single slide film coverslipper
  • IPI Pathomat® film coverslipper

Product information:
  • Usable film length: 70 m (= 1,400 samples of 50 mm each); film width: 24 mm / film thickness: 142 µm
  • Haze value after covering: < 0.5%
  • The base film material for the IPI Pathotape® coverslips was manufactured under cleanroom conditions equivalent to the high-end TAC films for the LCD and archiving film markets. The film has a very low haze value and a high transparency, which gives the end user an excellent
detailed view of the samples under the microscope and thus also enables optimal image capture with digital scanners.
The unique and globally patented VarioTexture’ surface structure enables a high degree of uniformity of the solvent drops and a reduction in the amount of xylene required for successful covering. Compared to other mounting films, the amount of xylene required can be reduced by 10% to 30%, depending on the type of machine and the parameters previously set.
The base film is made from a renewable raw material using renewable energy. The entire cover tape film laminate is free of xylene and benzene.
IPI Pathotape® cover tape is made from base materials with high long-term stability (> 15 years) of the optical and mechanical properties (when stored under the recommended conditions).
The IPI Pathotape® cover slide is 100% made in Germany and was developed, manufactured and qualitatively controlled in accordance with the certified standards DIN EN ISO 9001/14001/50001 and in compliance with DIN EN ISO 13485.
Each individual component of the product is checked as part of a tried and tested IQC/PQC/OQC process for the production of high-quality film foils, thus ensuring a stable product quality.
A conformity assessment procedure in accordance with Article 48 of EU Directive 2017/746 on in vitro diagnostic medical devices has been carried out for the IPI Pathotape® single-use film, and an EU declaration of conformity has been issued.
