Maximum flexibility is provided by 4 gel trays of different lengths. Depending on the gel size, up to 6 combs can be used simultaneously, resulting in a maximum capacity of 192 samples.

The universal gel casting system is designed for gel trays with lengths from 7 cm up to 18 cm. A movable fixing element in combination with a sliding gel casting lock ensures the flexibility needed to quickly and securely fix gel trays of different lengths for casting gels. To cast several gels at the same time, simply use the mobile gel casting locks. This allows the following combinations of gel sizes to be poured quickly and leak-proof:
- 3 gel trays of 7 cm length each
- 2 gel trays of 10 cm length each
- 1 gel tray of 7 cm length plus 1 gel tray of 10 cm length
- 1 gel tray of 7 cm length plus 1 gel tray of 15 cm length
