Los disolventes son sustancias (en su mayoría líquidos) que pueden disolver gases, otros líquidos o sólidos sin que se produzcan reacciones químicas entre la sustancia disuelta y la sustancia a disolver. Además de agua, suelen ser sustancias orgánicas. Th. Geyer ofrece disolventes de numerosas marcas, por ejemplo de CHEMSOLUTE, Merck (Supelco, Sigma-Aldrich), Honeywell, AppliChem y en diversas calidades (desde técnica a analítica pasando por alta pureza o UHPLC o VLSI).
