Membrane filters

The stacked-disk format of Millipak® filter units eliminates the risk of fiber release from downstream support material.

Features & Benefits:

• No risk of membrane cracking as the 0.22 µm membrane is supported by a rigid plastic disc with channels
• As the membranes are welded onto the support disc, the risk of contamination is considerably reduced
• Minimum dead volume thanks to the large filter surface

Organic solvents, blowing agents, concentrated acids and bases as well as cyrogenic liquids do not affect the Mitex™ membrane. The membrane is easy to handle. Although it is not supported, it still offers a high level of comfort.

Sterile, dehydrated culture media pads in petri dishes. Once they are moistened with 3.0 ml to 3.5 ml of sterile and demineralised (or distilled) water they are ready-to-use immediately. All Nutrient Pad sets are supplied with the appropriate membrane filters, which are also individually sterile packed. Shelf life of the NPS 18 to 24 months at room temperature. Alternative nutrient media are available on request.

The nylon-membrane filters are compatible with a wide range of solvents. Its apllication includes particel removal and clarification, solvent filtration and particel analysis.

Sartolab^® P20: for sterile filtration of cell culture media. Ready-to-use, disposable filtration units. Surfactant-free, 0.2µm cellulose acetate membrane (SFCA) with minimal protein adsorption. With Luer lock inlet and filling bell on the outlet.
Sartolab^® P20 plus: with additional, binding agent-free, glass-fibre (GF) pre-filter for media which are difficult to filter.

Filter membranes with grid lines for easy colony counting. For microbiological analysis of water, food and beverage application in the pH range 4-8.

Housing PP. Watertrap between filter flask and vacuum pump to prevent wetting of the devices.

Without any filtrate transfer, you can filter into a 50 ml centrifuge tube with the Steriflip® filter unit. Simply screw the filter unit onto your centrifuge tube, tilt it 180 degrees and apply vacuum. The second tube, which is attached to the filter unit, now contains your sterile filtrate.

Steripak™-GP filter units have been developed for pressure filtration of larger quantities of tissue culture media with or without serum. The filter units are each equipped with the Millipore Express membrane with low protein binding and fast flow rate. To prevent air blockage, each filter is equipped with a filling bell for the bottle top and a manually operated inlet vent. As this product is disposable, the filter units are not autoclavable.
