If you want your liquids and gases to be ultra-cleaned or sterilized during pressure filtration, then the stainless steel filter holders are perfectly designed for you. Autoclaving with membranes is no problem thanks to the PTFE-coated supporting sieve.

The WHEATON^® filtering apparatus are available with fritted glass support, with stainless steel support or with PTFE support. The glass components are manufactured from WHEATON^® low extractable borosilicate glass 3.3. that conforms to ASTM E 438 Type I, Class A requirements. The 25 mm filtering apparatus are designed to handle small volumes of liquids, the 47 mm filtering apparatus are suitable for volumes up to 1000 ml. The 90 mm filtering apparatus are recommended for large sample volumes, liquids with a heavy particulate load and viscous liquids when a high flow rate is required.

Without any filtrate transfer, you can filter into a 50 ml centrifuge tube with the Steriflip® filter unit. Simply screw the filter unit onto your centrifuge tube, tilt it 180 degrees and apply vacuum. The second tube, which is attached to the filter unit, now contains your sterile filtrate.

For fast and uncomplicated sterile filtration of aqueous solutions in bottles with narrow or wide threads, the Steritop™ bottle top filter with large filter surface is ideal. Inside the funnel there is a small tab with which you can securely attach a separately available pre-filter during filtration. In order to provide optimum protection against contamination, the thread of the bottle cap is slightly set back.

The Steritest™ NEO device for liquids in ampoules or collapsing bags contains a needle for easy access to ampopules and a separate vent needle. A special needle adapter facilitates access to collapsing bags. The blue color coding on the ground indicates that the membrane is made of cellulose mischester. The red coding indicates a PVDF membrane. This membrane provides an optimal filtration flow rate for standard products.

To ensure flexibility and capability, the Swinny filter holder offers the possibility to choose the membrane type and diameter to best suit personal applications. If sterile filtration is required, this is no problem. Autoclave the filter holder with the membrane in situ.
