Membrane filters
Membrane Filter, hydrophobic, PTFE
Made entirely of PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene), reinforced by Polypropylene net.
- Permanently hydrophobic
- Allowing passage of air even at low differential pressure
- Resistant to almost all chemicals, very strong acids, cryoliquids, alkalis, aggressive organic solvents
- Must be pre-wetted with an organic solvent, such as ethanol, methanol or isopropanol, before filtration of aqueous samples
- Max. Temperature 145 °C
Membrane Filters, Cellulose Nitrate, non-sterile
Recommended for clarification and sterilisation of aqueous solutions, microbiological analysis and particle counts
- Qualified for aqueous solutions (pH 4-8), hydrocarbons and some dilute solvents
- High non-specific adsorption: 160 µg/cm² for gamma-Globulin
- Maximum temperature 130 °C
MF-Millipore™ membrane, mixed cellulose ester, 142 mm
MF-Millipore™ Membranes have a biologically inert mixture of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate. The MF-Millipore™ filters without Triton® surfactant have a lower water extractable content compared to the standard MF-Millipore™ filters and contain a minimal amount of wetting agent.
Features & Benefits:...
MF-Millipore™ membrane, mixed cellulose ester, 90 mm
MF-Millipore™ Membranes have a biologically inert mixture of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate. The MF-Millipore™ filters without Triton® surfactant have a lower water extractable content compared to the standard MF-Millipore™ filters and contain a minimal amount of wetting agent.
Features & Benefits:...
Membrane filter PES, hydrophil
White. They are recommended for the filtration of aqueous solutions and proteins. Due to their low content of extractable substances, they are suitable for sample preparation in environmental analysis.
- High flow rates
- Low non-specific protein adsorption
- High resistance
Membrane filters type 111, cellulose acetate, sterile
White, individually sterile packed. Resistant to steam sterilisation up to 134 °C, or in dry heat up to 180 °C. Very low adsorption (important when filtering proteinaceous solutions). Suitable for particle removal and ultracleaning of aqueous solutions, methanol, ethanol, high-grade alcohols and residue analysis of fuels and oils. The extractable content of these filters make up < 1 % of their weight. Other pore sizes and formats available on request....
Membrane filters type 113, cellulose nitrate, sterile
White, individually sterile packed. Very low content of extractable materials. Weight constant after 60 minutes of drying at 105 °C. Suitable for residue analysis, microscopic viewing in incident or transmitted light, chemotaxis, x-ray fluorescence, spectrometry and gravimetric analysis. Autoclavable at 121 °C. Other pore sizes and formats are available on request....
