Bath liquids.
Use of the appropriate liquids for heat transfer listed here offers many advantages:

• Safe to use, non toxic, and generally odourless formulations
• Resistance to ageing and viscosity changes with low susceptibility to corrosion.

Silicone oils (SIL).
Non-flammable, with long operational life.

Synthetic heat transfer fluids (Synth).
Usually formulated from a hydrocarbon base with low viscosity within the recommended working temperature range.

Viscosity.
For optimal temperature stability the bath fluid must be of low viscosity.

Fire point.
Fluids can spontaneously ignite above a certain temperature. EN 61010 stipulates that the maximum working temperature of the liquid should be 25 °C below its" fire point.

Heating up range.
Prolonged use is not permitted as the self-heating effect within these liquids may cause the overtemperature protection system of the pump unit to operate and shut down the pump.

Operating temperature range.
Thermostats may only be operated for an extended time in this range under certain conditions. Viscosity must not exceed 30 mPas. Otherwise pumps will not achieve their stated performance figures.

Working temperature range.
The long-term use range for peak thermostatic bath performance. Maximum viscosity level is approx. 5 mPas.

The digital Dry Block Heater with Heated Lid is designed for applications that require repeatable results and superior temperature stability. These multi-purpose units are ideal for isothermal incubation, enzyme reactions, immunoassays, nucleic acid denaturation and a wide variety of other laboratory procedures. Integral support rod holder with locking knob accepts optional External Temperature Probe Kit. Optional External Temperature Probe Kit monitors actual block or sample temperature. Block heater accepts one microplate block or two separate interchangeable modular blocks, accommodating various tube sizes from 0.2 ml micro-tubes to test tubes or vials up to 85 mm in height. Each block has a thermometer well for measuring block temperature. Efficient heating due to close tube-and-block contact with a low density design for exceptional temperature uniformity. The heated lid helps to regulate the temperature and reduce the amount of condensation on sample lids.

High wattage, constant-temperature Dry Block Heaters are economical, versatile and compact. EK 45 immersion cooler
This portable cooler features a controller with digital temperature LED display, reaching temperatures down to as low as -45 °C. The compact size of the EK 45 is ideal for pairing with counter-cooled applications making it an economical, sustainable alternative for dry ice, liquid nitrogen, and other quick-chill solutions. The small footprint and sleek handle make this unit convenient for setting up as needed with vapor/solvent trapping, Dewar or other benchtop applications. Multiple probe options are available to meet your custom application need.

EK 90 immersion cooler
This more robust cooler is designed to cool to temperatures as low as -90 °C. The EK 90 begins driving immediately down to -90 °C, with the option of controlling the temperature setting on select models via a digital temperature LED display. Similar to the EK 45, this cooler was designed with overall footprint in mind. The capacity to achieve such low temperatures in such a quick timeframe makes this unit ideal for the direct contact cooling method used in material characterization, as well as cooling reactors, Dewars, and any vapor/solvent trapping applications. Multiple probe options are available meet your custom application need.

Heated bath circulators with stainless steel bath for operating temperatures up to 250 °C. Easy switching between internal and external control. With integrated cooling coil and powerful pressure and suction pump in a housing made of temperature and chemical resistant plastic. The large surface of the radiator allowes for an optimum heat exchange, even heating of the medium and very fast heat-up times.
