Streptavidin-coated solid phases serve as a reliable binding surface for biotinylated molecules of any kind. Streptavidin solid phases therefore offer the possibility to easily and quickly isolate, detect and quantify components from a reaction. The solid phase is treated with an additional blocking step in order to minimize unspecific binding, i.e. pre-blocking of the plates is not necessary.
