The reference standards are used to check the photometric detection accuracy and reproducibility of measurement results. Adjustment of the photometers is not possible with the reference standard kits. When checking the photometers with the reference standard kit, the appropriate method is selected and the measured value in mg/L is compared with the reference value of the standard kit. The shelf life is two years from the date of manufacture if used and stored properly.

BOD measurement is an important measurement of the effects of domestic and industrial waste water on sewage plants and outflow points. The sensor system BD 600 is a 6 sample system that allows precise measurements of BOD based on the manometric principle. Manometric respirometers relate oxygen uptake to the change in pressure caused by oxygen consumption while maintaining a constant volume. Due to the modern integral pressure sensors, it is not necessary to use mercury for the measurements. The BOD values are stored automatically in the sensor memory at regular intervals and can be called up on the large-format display at any time without the need for time-consuming conversion using factors. This means that test series that end on a Sunday can be evaluated during the following week without any problem. Measurement series can be stored on USB stick/ SD card or transferred via USB cable to evaluate the data on a computer. The measurement period is user-selectable between 1 and 28 days to suit the application. While short measurement periods are useful for scientific applications, standard BOD measurements typically extend over a period of 5 days - and manometric determination of OECD, for example, generally takes place over a period of 28 days.

Chemical digestion of samples is required for the photometric determination of COD, TOC, total chromium, total phosphate and total nitrogen. The required temperatures and reaction time can be selected by using the membrane keypad of the reactor RD 125. The unit works at three different temperatures (100 / 120 / 150 °C) and three pre-set reaction times (30 / 60 / 120 minutes). When digestion is complete, the reactor automatically switches off and gives a corresponding LED indication with short beep alarm. The RD 125 reactor is fitted with 24 holes for 16 mm diameter vials.

The battery operated SensoDirect Con 110 is a compact and versatile meter. The unit is extremely easy to use and is equipped as standard with a casing and built-in electrode holder. It is equipped with a LC display showing two or three decimal places (manual measuring range selection) and a measuring range either of 0.001 to 1.999 or 0.01 to 19.99 mS/cm. The SensoDirect Con 110 can be calibrated and adjusted using a potentiometer. It is fitted with a 4 pole connector as standard.

Lovibond^® Comparator 2000+ is a quality instrument for the visual analysis of colour intensity in analysis samples using Lovibond colour discs. The integral cell attachment enables cells with a depth of 40mm to be accepted. The Lovibond^® Nessleriser system provides greater depths by using corresponding accessory Nessler tubes. This enables the determination of concentrations below the detection limit of the Lovibond^® Comparator 2000+. The integral prism in the Lovibond^® Comparator 2000+ brings the glass standard of the colour discs and the colour samples optically into the field of view. The prism is hermetically sealed, preventing the lens from being contaminated. Both the Comparator 2000+ and the Nessleriser are designed in such a way that they compensate for cloudy or coloured water samples. Visual comparators for colour grading. A series of 3-field instruments designed for visual colour grading by direct comparison between the sample and coloured glass standards. The sample and two adjacent glasses on the colour scale are viewed simultaneously, making it easier to achieve the optimum colour match.
