Es ersetzt Chromschwefelsäure, ist frei von Chlor und Ätzalkalien, ungiftig, nicht aggressiv, und biologisch abbaubar. Längere Einwirkzeiten sind bei Reinigungsgut aus Zink und nicht-eloxiertem Aluminium zu vermeiden. Auch für die Reinigung im Wischverfahren geeignet.
