The Thermo Scientific Barnstead Smart2Pure system is a compact system which converts tap water into ASTM type I and II water. The Smart2Pure models 3 and 6 are featured with an built-in 6 l tank to store the type II water. The Smart2Pure 12 offers the choice between a 30 l or 60 l tank depending on storage requirements. The Thermo Scientific Barnstead Pacific RO water purification systems are modularly designed laboratory reverse osmosis system for the production of 20L to 200L pure water from tap water. Applications include routine laboratory work: lab glassware rinsing, supplying autoclaves, water baths and incubators, preparing an diluting buffers and reagents. A 30L, 60L, or 100L polyethylene reservoir is required to store and dispense the permeate water.

Product features:
Space-saving design allows system to sit on the laboratory bench or be mounted on the wall. Simple system upgrade accommodates future pure water capacity requirements.
Reliable operation: Microprocessor control offers automatic operation with continual monitoring of all important parameters. Required filling level of the reservoir can be customized. Automatic return to operating mode ensures recirculation during periods of standstill.
Easy-to-operate clear display: Resistivity/conductivity clearly displayed on large back-lit control panel that tilts for optimum viewing. Status of current operating mode clearly indicates "production", "stand-by", "cleaning" modes. Reservoir fill-level shown as %.
Integrated feed water monitoring: Good quality feed water is a prerequisite for high purity water and extends cartridge service life.
GLP-compliant documentation: Real-time clock records system errors and faults. Ongoing data storage collects four weeks information displayed in clear text. Operating system is code-protected to prevent unauthorized changes to system settings. RS-232 interface with adjustable sender interval allows for customized timing of data transmission of measured values and faults to a PC or data printer. Cell constant of 0.16cm^-1 ensures precise conductivity measurements.
Pacific RO pretreatment: Two 10in. (25.4cm) cartridge filter housings with a 5µm prefilter and activated carbon to prevent entry of particles >5µm and high concentrations of free chlorine includes hardness stabilizer cartridge which binds calcium and prevents its precipitation.
Worry-free pure water storage: Reservoir are constructed of pigment-free polyethylene. Conical bottom allows for easy cleaning, disinfecting and complete emptying.

Optional hand dispenser with flexible circulating line for dispensing water in a distance of up to 3 m. The kit contains a 0,2 µm end filter.

The Thermo Scientific Pacific Barnstead TII system provides ultrapure water (1 - 10 MOhm) ASTM type II for typical demand up to 200 l/day. By combining different treatment technologies such as pretreatment, reverse osmosis, ion exchangers, adsorption and optional UV lamp, the Pacific TII produces pure water (ASTM type II) that meets the highest quality standards such as ASTM II, CAP, ISO 3696, CLSI and Bi distillate. The LaboStar™ RO DI series produce high quality water with very low energy consumption. The use of "low energy" membranes enable a very efficient and economical operation. All LaboStar™ RO DI systems are equipped with a built-in 7 l storage tank. Pure water is collected in the tank and is recirculated by an integrated pump. LaboStar™ RO DI is equipped with a final DI cartridge. This cartridge polishes the RO water to Type II quality < 0.1 µS/cm. The unit offers two extraction ports: water can be extracted under pressure from the Point-of-use dispenser or from the outlet on the back of the unit. Optionally, a charged 0.2 µm sterile filter at the dispenser can be used to remove bacteria and endotoxins. An uncharged 0.2 µm sterile filter is also available. The 7 l storage tank capacity can be increased by an additional 30 or 60l tank. Pure water is collected in the tank and is recirculated by an integrated pump. LaboStar™ RO DI systems are delivered with the first set of all modules and filters required for immediate operation.
